01. Concept.
For the new website of the Katholische Stiftungsfachhochschule I had to come up with a new way of navigating through the website as well as a completely new structure of the subpages. As the university has two different campuses (Munich and Benediktbeuren), one of the main challenges was to clearly transmit the differences of these two campuses so that students and future students could easily understand these differences. On top of that, the new website was supposed to feature a shortcut for current students so that these wouldn’t have to browse the whole website to access their documents.

02. Design.
As before, orange still dominates the colours scheme. The new menu bar is displayed in a tiles view mode. Subcategories can be easily accessed by clicking on the respective category. The section for course programs was expanded by a lot of new modules that help future students to better understand prerequisites, program structures etc.
The field of research and development is clearly separated from the rest of the content by being displayed it in a light blue colour.
03. Goal.
Our goal was to create a website that on the one hand provides general information abut the university and on the other hand enables current students to access their documents online. The most important aspects were clarity, easy navigation and the distinction between the two campuses.
04. Features.
The new website features a quick access in the upper right-hand corner, detailed webpages about the different course programs, diversified filtering options so that professors and members of the university can be easily found.
05. Challenge.
The greatest challenge was to create the navigation concept. Especially as the website contains so many different subpages, a logic navigation bar had to be developed. Here we had to pay careful attention that the menu bar would later also work on mobile devices.
06. Fun.
One thing that I really enjoyed was creating the styleguide for us and for our programmers.
